Wild Life Trips in Rishikesh
The park has been created in 1983 by amalgamation of three sanctuaries- Rajaji sanctuary (estd. 1948) Motichur sanctuary (estd. 1964) and Chilla sanctuary(estd. 1977) after the name of renowned statesman and freedom fighter Sri C. Rajgopalachariya - The first and last Governor General of independent India popularly known as "Rajaji". The park is spread over an area of 820.42 sq. km. in three Districts- Dehradun, Haridwar & Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand State, India
The Park has got the largest area representing Shiwalik Eco-system. The Shivalik trail is 10 million year old and very rich in fossils. It's fossils faunal remains include about 50 species of elephant, one of them is present today.
The park is home to the Tiger, Leopard, Himalayan Bear, Cheetal, hog deer, barking deer, Sambar deer, wild boar, antelopes such as the Nilgai, Goral , Jackal, Hyena, Jungle Cat, Leopard Cat, Civets, Himalayan Yellow-Throated Marten, Sloth Bears, Pythons, King Cobra, Common Krait, Indian Cobra and the Monitor Lizard and above All the Asian Elephant.

A pleasurable 19kms drive takes you to Chilla ,the core zone of the National Park – an interesting animal habitat on the account of its location at the meeting point of the lesser Himalayan Foothills and the vast Indo Gangetic plains. One can encounter a great variety of migratory and domestic birds along the Ganges. Arrive Chilla and start your jeepsafari through the core zone of the park. We also take breaks for light lunch and tea. Before sun sets, we drive back to Rishikesh.
The Cost Includes: Toyota jeep from Rishikesh to chilla & back, Jeep safari in Park, English Speaking Guide, Lunch with bottled water, Tea, and taxes for the jeep.

Wild life Experience - Overnight Trip to Raja Ji National Park
Morning drive to Chilla. Arrive Chilla and check in to Gujjar Huts of GMVN. After lunch explore the river side of Indo Gangetic planes, the venue of migratory and domestic birds. Late afternoon we ride the elephant to spot the wild life. Diner and overnight Gujar Huts/ Tourist Bungalow.
DAY 02. CHILLA/RISHIKESH.
Early morning proceed for a jungle walk along the Ganga river to encounter wild life in the park. After breakfast ride the jeep to explore the park. We drive back to Gujars hut for lunch. After lunch, late afternoon we drive back to Rishikesh . Tour terminates upon arrival at Rishikesh.
